Brian Ehrhart is a Chemical Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories. He has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a master’s and PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Since 2017, Brian has worked to support technical analyses for safety codes and standards for alternative fuels, particularly hydrogen. His current and past work has focused on assessing risk for hydrogen vehicles, rail, and infrastructure; developing software codes for assessing various fire and thermal scenarios; and serves on the Technical Committee for the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 2 Hydrogen Technologies Code.
