Cedric J. Gommes, PhD, is a researcher in the Dept. of Chemical Engineering at the Univ. of Liège and holds a tenured position with the Belgian Funds for Scientific Research (FRS-FNRS; Building B6C, allée du Six Août, 3, B-4000, Liège, Belgium; Email: cedric.gommes@uliege.be). His main research interests are physicochemical phenomena occurring inside nanoporous solids in the broader context of separation and catalytic processes. He holds MSc degrees in physics and in mechanical engineering, as well as a PhD in chemical engineering, all from the Univ. of Liège. He has had numerous visiting positions in engineering, mathematics, and chemistry departments worldwide, notably at Princeton, Leuven, Brisbane, and Utrecht.
