SBE’s 6th International Conference on Bioengineering and Nanotechnology

The Heart Beats Again?
Researchers at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute in Los Angeles just peeled back some of the mystery shrouding the heart to prove the potential for stem cell use in repairing heart tissue after heart attacks. The small-scale randomized phase-one trial followed 31 patients who had recently had a myocardial infarction for more than two years.

Ted Talks presents Erica Frenkel, a program officer at UAM Global, the company that offers a cost-effective scaleable solution for putting anesthesia machines that works in rugged environments often associated with developing countries.
