Christin Salley is a third year PhD Candidate at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Christin is in the Civil Engineering program, and advised by Dr. John E. Taylor in the Network Dynamics Lab. Christin's research is at the intersection of social media, infrastructure systems, disaster response, and machine learning. Christin is also passionate about pathways of engineering - investigating pursuits of engineering at the K-12, undergraduate, and graduate levels. Ultimately, Christin desires to be able to educate society through community resilience, disaster research, and engineering education. Christin's long term career goals are to go into academic and administrative roles at the collegiate level, along with becoming a licensed engineer. Christin desires to train, mentor, and teach the next generation, while conducting research that benefits various communities.
