Full Professor
University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria (BOKU)

Christoph is a Full Professor for Process Engineering of Renewable Resources at University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria (BOKU). He is also the Principal Investigator for Advanced Biorefineri  es, Chemistry&Materials (ABC&M) and Bioprocess Engineering doctoral schools there. He graduated as chemical engineer at Vienna University of Technology under supervision of Professor Hermann Hofbauer. He was responsible for several national as well as European projects with the main aim to improve fuel flexibility and efficiency of the dual fluidized bed steam gasification process. Moreover, He worked on catalytic tar removal by primary (inside the gasification reactor) and secondary (downstream of the gasification reactor) methods. Christoph contributed to and wrote more than 40 peer-reviewed publications on international journals, more than 25 peer-reviewed and more than 40 abstract-reviewed publications on international conference proceedings. He is the co-author of 2 patents on an improved dual fluidized bed process as well as of 1 patent on continuous hydrothermal carbonization.

Christoph is member of the scientific board of the following international conferences: CFB (International Conference on Circulating Fluidized Bed), Fluidization Conference, European Biomass Conference, International Conference on Biogas Science. He is a reviewer for several high level scientific journals: Fuel, Energy and Fuels, Biomass and Bioenergy, Chemical Engineering Science, Fuel Processing Technology, Powder Technology, Industrial Engineering & Chemistry Research, Applied Energy, Mires and Peat, Waste Management, Bioresource Technology, Applied Catalysis, Applied Thermal Energy, Chemical Engineering, Energy Conversion Management. From 2102-2013, he was associate editor of Biomass&Bioenergy Journal and is currently the associate editor for the Carbon Resources Conversion Journal.
