Clare King is the Founder and President of Propel LLC, a company that is focused on the bridge between technology and textiles. Using a wealth of experience in textile materials and processes and technology innovations, the Propel team thinks about and solves complex problems from conceptualization through full-scale, state-of-the-art manufacturing. Propel is currently engaged in a number of Department of Defense funded research efforts including for Smart Textiles, self-activating heated footwear, and advanced cold weather clothing. Propel is particularly known for effective transition from research and development to manufacturing and commercialization with one recent example being the Propel’s Damage Control Steam Suit now being deployed aboard US Nuclear Submarines.
