Dr. Colin Wessells is an entrepreneur and technologist who has dedicated his career to developing and commercializing new energy technologies. As the founding CEO of Natron Energy, he executed a unique commercialization strategy that focused on serving high value industrial power customers including data centers, telecom networks, and EV fast charging stations. During his tenure as Natron’s CEO, he scaled Natron’s team from one to over 200, led successful development of a unique sodium-ion cell platform development and scaled it from grams to giga-watts, closed over $300 million in venture investments across six funding rounds, and raised over $30 million in state and federal grants. His accomplishments were recognized on the 2024 Time100 Climate list. Dr. Wessells earned his BS and PhD in materials science at Stanford.
