Dr. Spanos is a specialist in Con Edison’s Research & Development department, working to develop new products and processes that benefit the electric utility, its customers, as well as its external stakeholders. His work focuses on piloting and demonstrating new technologies, developing standards and specifications, and preparing technology assessments in the areas of electric distribution and energy storage. Dr. Spanos earned his PhD from Columbia University in Electrochemical Engineering with a focus on battery systems.
