Curtis P. Martin

Curtis P. Martin is currently a visiting assistant professor with the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University. His primary mission is to integrate principles of data science into the curriculum to better train engineers for the industry of the future. He earned his Ph.D. working with Dr. Sangtae Kim to develop a machine learning-based drug discovery platform for the development of targeted anti-cancer therapeutics. During that time, he published separate work in Physics of Fluids on the eigensystem of the double layer operator as it pertains to an ellipsoid in quadratic Stokes flow. He was also a tutor for Purdue Athletics and a chemistry instructor for the Minorities in Engineering Program’s academic boot camps. Prior to his time at Purdue, he received dual B.S. degrees in chemistry and chemical engineering at North Carolina State University and played varsity football during his freshman year.
