Dan Romasko joined Tesoro Corporation as Executive Vice President, Operations in 2011. As a member of the Tesoro executive committee, Dan’s responsibilities include co-creation of the corporate strategy. As the principal operating officer, he oversees Tesoro’s refining, marketing, logistics and marine functions, providing leadership that promotes the safe, compliant and profitable strategy execution.
Prior to joining Tesoro, he held the positions of Vice President, Operations Integrity and Vice President, Technical Operations and Competence at Suncor Energy. He also served as General Manager of Petro-Canada’s Fort Hills Syncrude operations, prior to the amalgamation with Suncor in 2009.
Mr. Romasko built his extensive downstream industry experience with ConocoPhillips, having held numerous leadership positions in logistics, supply and trading, global specialty products and refining during his 20 years with the company.
In addition to his duties for Tesoro Corporation, he serves on the Board of Directors for Tesoro Logistics, a fee-based, growth-oriented publicly traded master limited partnership formed by Tesoro Corporation in 2011. Mr. Romasko also serves on the local Board of Directors for Boys Town Texas.
Mr. Romasko holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Montana State University. He and his wife have three children and are fostering three children.
