Dr. Daniel Yeh is a Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of South Florida, and a Visiting Professor at NASA KSC. He is currently working with NASA to develop next-generation bioregenerative closed-loop water systems for extra-planetary applications.

Dr. Daniel Yeh is a Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of South Florida (http://www.linkedin.com/in/danielyeh), and a Visiting Professor at NASA Kennedy Space Center. His research and teaching interests are related to global water and sanitation, water and wastewater treatment, waste-to-energy biotechnologies, urban water infrastructure, green buildings and climate change. In recent years, his lab has been active on the topics of anaerobic membrane bioreactor for wastewater treatment and resource recovery, integrated microalgae biofuel production and wastewater treatment, food waste biorecycling for urban agriculture, and resiliency in water infrastructure. Two current major initiatives are related to developing advanced non-sewered sanitation systems for developing communities (funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, www.NEWgenerator.net) and next-generation bioregenerative closed-loop water systems for extra-planetary applications (funded by NASA). Dr. Yeh has degrees from the University of Michigan (BS Natural Resources, BSE Civil Engineering, MSE Environmental Engineering) and Georgia Tech (PhD Environmental Engineering), as well as postdoctoral research experience at Stanford University. He is a professional engineer, board certified environmental engineer, and LEED accredited green building professional.
