Dave is Founder and Managing Director of Cottonwood Technology Funds I, II and III. Cottonwood focuses on seed/pre-seed stage hard tech/IP based companies across numerous fields, including advanced materials, photonics, robotics, chemistry related innovation across numerous energy and renewables applications, and health sciences.
Prior to Cottonwood, Dave founded and was Managing Director of Southeast Interactive, the first and largest information technology-focused fund based in the Southeast. They raised three funds totaling over $175 million.
He serves and has served on numerous Boards including Skorpios Technologies, Sarcos Robotics (STRC), Bayotech, Exagen (XGN), Infinitum Electric and xF Technologies.
Dave holds a MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
