Dipayan began his doctoral journey at the William A. Brookshire Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Houston in 2020. Advised by Dr. Rimer, he is dedicated to exploring the fundamental mechanisms of cholesterol crystallization, crucial in understanding atherosclerotic plaque formation, and calcium phosphate crystallization, relevant to kidney stone pathophysiology. He earned his MS degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2020, following a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the Heritage Institute of Technology in Kolkata, India in 2018.
