Dominic Pjontek is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at Western University. He has received his BASc and PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ottawa. The core theme of his research program is the development and optimization of multiphase reactors via experimental studies, process modeling, and scale-up considerations. Dr. Pjontek's research group attempts to overcome the technological barriers delaying next-generation reactors needed to convert renewable raw materials and existing wastes materials into sustainable chemical building blocks and/or energy carriers.
