Dorothy M. Shaffer is a Principal Consultant with BakerRisk. Initially working as a production plant process engineer and project engineer with Terra International, she rose to Director of Risk and Reliability and implemented several corporate-wide reliability improvement programs. She left Terra for independent consultant work on Hurricane Katrina Recovery, supporting the Gulf Coast DuPont rebuild efforts. Shaffer joined BakerRisk in 2007, doing associate consulting work and subject matter expert support. She served on the AIChE Ammonia Symposium Committee from 2004 to 2023.
