Dr. Camille Petit has recently taken a post as a lecturer in Chemical Engineering at Imperial College, London. Prior she was a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Earth and Environmental Engineering Department at the Lenfest Center for Sustainable Energy Columbia University from 2011-2013. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, NY (2007-2011) and an MSc in Chemistry (2005-2007) and a BSc in Physics and Chemistry from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier.
Her research focuses on the design, characterization and testing of novel multi-functional materials for environmental sustainability, with applications in CCUS and water purification. Prof. Petit has published extensively in the area of carbon capture using liquid-like nanoparticle organic hydrid materials (NOHMs).
