Professor, Chemical Engineering
David Wood received a double major in Chemical Engineering and Molecular Biology from Caltech in 1990. He then worked one year at Kelco in process development for commodity-scale mucopolysaccharides, and two years at Amgen in the Neupogen® manufacturing process. He then returned to graduate school and completed his PhD at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2001. He then spent seven years on the faculty at Princeton University before joining the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department at the Ohio State University in 2009. His current work includes protein engineering for applications in bioprocessing, drug discovery, and pure biological research tools.
