Dr. Duu Jong Lee obtained his BS and PhD degree, both from chemical engineering, National Taiwan University, in 1984 and 1989, respectively. In his 30-year service Professor Lee has worked on research projects on biomass energy, resource recovery from waste and microscale heat and mass transfer, which led to successful supervision of five Ph D and 72 M Sc theses. The research carried out till-date has credited him with 11 patents, one book, 12 book chapters, and 980 SCI papers with WoS citations over 30,000 with h-index=79 and Google Scholar h=99. In SciVal search, Dr Lee ranked #4 in publication in subcategory “Environmental Engineering” and “Bioengineering” worldwide; in top 2% researcher ranking by Stanford team he ranked #21 in category “Biotechnology”. Professor Lee is the recipient of many national and international awards and is the Visiting Professor of a few world renown universities and institutions. Dr. Lee also served for a few archive journals as Editor or editorial board members. He is the Fellow of RSC, TIChE and IBA.
