Eduardo Glandt

Eduardo Glandt is Professor Emeritus at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn), where he served on the faculty for 38 years, including 17 years as Dean of Engineering. As such, he led a major expansion of the school in faculty size, applications, enrollments, physical plant, fundraising and endowment. He established alumni networks and advisory boards around the globe.

Glandt has served AIChE in various capacities, including as a Trustee of the AIChE Foundation, as Chair of the Foundation’s Board, and as Chair of the Awards Committee. He serves on the boards of the Science History Institute, the Hoover Medal, and the Holtec Corporation. He was elected to the National Academy of Engineering. He also belongs to the National Academy of Sciences of Argentina and is a Fellow of the American Academy for the Advancement of Science.

Eduardo received the Warren and the Lindback Awards for Distinguished Teaching from Penn, the Victor K. LaMer Research Award from ACS, and the Van Antwerpen Award for Service to AIChE. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Buenos Aires and his PhD from Penn, both in chemical engineering.
