Eduardo is a global leader in process safety, with more than 37 years of expertise in process engineering and process safety management in different industrial segments like chemical, mining, metals and metallurgy. Eduardo began his work at the site level in operations and process engineering and continued, successively, in regional and global technical leadership roles. From 2008 up to now is an active participant of CCPS, Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) as regional Latin America steering team member and leader, from 2023 on is the Chair of CCPS´Committee for Process Safety Management in Mining, Metals and Metallurgy (MMM), nominated Chair of AIChE CCPS´2025 Global Congress of Process Safety – Perspectives of Process Safety from Around the World Session (PPSAW) and is often a key note speaker and paper presenter on topics relating to process safety.
Eduardo has a BSChE from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Brazi, (1987), an MSc in Chemical Engineering at University of Manchester (1994), Ph.D. at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. He is a Certified Process Safety Professional (CCPSC) and was awarded by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) - Center of Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) as Fellow (2022) for his outstanding professional accomplishments.
