Eric S. Reiner is a chemical engineering alumnus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned his SB and PhD, respectively. Reiner is a presently a lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a retired managing director at UBS AG (the Swiss bank). Reiner spent more than 20 years, 16 of which as a managing director (partner), at UBS where his career focused on equity derivatives trading and enterprise-wide risk management. In 2001, he co-founded the organization’s LGBT network in the Americas. Today, in addition to lecturing on finance, he serves on the editorial boards of several quantitative finance journals.
