Erin Kane is president and CEO of AdvanSix Inc., a fully integrated manufacturer of nylon 6 resin, chemical intermediates and ammonium sulfate. She took on this role in 2016 as AdvanSix was spun out from Honeywell and became an independent company, following more than a decade of advancing leadership roles. AdvanSix (NYSE: ASIX) has more than 1500 employees, three U.S.-based manufacturing sites and provides global customers nylon materials used in carpet, engineering plastics, films, fibers and filaments; fertilizer used to grow high-value crops; and chemicals that serve as building blocks for paints, adhesives, and other formulations.
Kane began her career with Six Sigma and process engineering positions at Elementis Specialties and Kvaerner Process. She is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Kane serves on the Boards of Directors of the Chemours Company, the American Chemistry Council, AIChE and AdvanSix Inc. She earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Bucknell University and lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
