
Senior Materials Scientist

Dr. Fan Shi holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a Senior Materials Scientist at the Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). Dr. Shi leads NETL projects on catalysis, CO2 capture/utilization technologies, recovery of Rare Earth Element, and oily water separations. He has published two books and encyclopedia chapters in the field. He has organized a series of symposia in the American Chemical Society (ACS), AIChE, and North American Catalysis Society Meetings, and served as an advisory board member in conferences.
