Fatemeh Vakili, PhD, P.Geo., is a hydrogeologist at the Dragun Corp. in Windsor, Ontario. She has been a full-time consultant with Dragun since 2017, where she focuses on remediation of soil and groundwater impacted with chlorinated solvents and petroleum hydrocarbons. Vakili completed her master’s (2008) and doctorate (2017) in earth and environmental sciences at the Univ. of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, where she focused on the effect of physical processes such as sorption and diffusion on the stable isotope fractionation of chlorinated ethenes. She published articles on the application of environmental isotopes in hydrogeology and presented at well-known conferences such as the Battelle Contaminated Sediment Conference.
