Francis Norman AFIEAust CEngA, is the 2014 deputy president of the WA division of Engineers Australia, with a technical background in instrument engineering he has worked across number of different industry sectors including ironmaking, power generation, petrochemical, upstream and downstream oil and gas, working in Australia, UK, South Korea, Brazil and India. Francis spent the first 30 years of his career in a major EPC engineering organisation, initially in technical engineering roles and for the last 10 years as engineering manager and project manager and currently works as an independent management consultant. Francis holds a HNC in industrial measurement and control from Middlesborough University, a MSc in Project Management from Curtin University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Management, also at Curtin University. Francis also sits on the advisory boards of Murdoch University’s Engineering school and the Electrical, Electronics and Computing school of UWA.
