G. J. Ia O’

G. J. Ia O’, PhD, is the VP of Technology at Primus Power, Inc., (Email: gj@primus­power.com), where he oversees all research and development activities. He is an expert in electrochemical engineering, zinc-metal plating, and flow battery materials. Previously, he worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he developed catalyst materials for high-­temperature fuel cells. He has 23 patents in the area of advanced zinc-bromine flow batteries. Ia O’ received a BS in materials science and engineering from the Univ. of California, Berkeley and a PhD in materials science and engineering from MIT.
