Gabriel is the CSO / Head of R&D at PharmaBiome. Gabriel is an expert in quantitative systems biology with an interdisciplinary profile spanning microbial ecology and evolution, population biology, computational biology, and statistics. Gabriel holds a MSc in physics from the EPF Lausanne and a PhD in theoretical biology from the ETH Zurich. As a postdoctoral fellow at MIT, he developed data-driven approaches for microbial ecology to decipher the link between the behavior of individual member bacteria and the functional output of the community as a whole. Gabriel has been collaborating scientifically with PharmaBiome since it was founded and joined the team full-time in 2020.
