George Buckbee, P.E., is currently Head of Performance Solutions at Neles and manages the Expertune family of products and services. An experienced author and instructor, he has over 30 years of practical experience improving process performance in a wide array of industries, including oil and gas, pulp and paper, pharmaceuticals, and consumer products. Buckbee holds a BS in chemical engineering from Washington Univ. and an MS in chemical engineering from the Univ. of California, Santa Barbara. He was selected as an ISA Fellow in 2011. He is the co-author (along with Joseph Alford) of Automation Applications in Bio-Pharmaceuticals and Process Control Basics, published by ISA, and he published Mastering Cascade Control and Mastering Split-Range Control. Buckbee has also authored numerous articles on control system performance. He is a member of the ISA Publications Committee.
