Greg Newby is an Assistant Professor in the McKusick-Nathans Department of Genetic Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His research interests involve the development and deployment of efficient genome editing tools to correct genetic disease.
Dr. Newby earned his bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University and conducted research as a Fulbright Scholar in the laboratory of Andreas Plückthun at the University of Zürich. He studied at MIT with Susan Lindquist and Ahmed Khalil for his PhD before his postdoc in the laboratory of David Liu at Harvard University and the Broad Institute.
