Gustavo Correa holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Tecnologica Nacional, and a Master’s degree in Petroleum Industrialization from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has over 30 years of experience in the petroleum industry, in YPF S.A., where he held various positions in the Operation, Technical, and HSE fields. Currently, he is the HSE Upstream Manager at YPF S.A.
His international experience includes specific training in El Segundo Refinery Chevron USA and as an Operation Manager in Alberto Pascualini Refinery, Brazil. Gustavo is the CCPS TSC Representative for YPF, he was a Conference Chair for the 6th and 7th LACPS, and he will be a Conference Chair for the 8th LACPS. He participated as a Speaker and Session Chair on many GCPS and LACPS initiatives.
Throughout his career, he was involved in promoting Process Safety in Argentina and Latin American through various organizations such as ARPEL, IAPG, and AAIQ. In 2017, he was named a Fellow of the CCPS.
