Hashim is an Advanced Process Solutions Engineer at Saudi Aramco. He is part of the engineering and executing team of digitalization solutions that are part of the digital plant framework in Saudi Aramco. Currently, he is a project engineer for two digitization projects, Digital Advanced Operation Management and Asset Predictive Analytics project.
Outside his work, Hashim is an active member of the Young Professionals Committee of the Saudi Arabian Section of AIChE where he was part of the communication sub-committee and helped in organizing the ChemME youth initiative as part of the middle eastern process engineering conference. Also, he is involved in enriching the scientific content in his local community through organizing events and helping volunteering teams achieve these goals. For instance, he is part of the Future Horizons initiative that is aimed to help high school students navigate through university studies after graduation. Moreover, he was the curator of a TEDx event that was aimed at increasing the presence of scientific content locally and globally through the TED stage.
Hashim has graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor's of science in Chemical Engineering with the Active Learning Award in 2017. He was given the Saudi Aramco scholarship to sponsor his undergraduate studies and was selected out of 600 candidates to present his work in the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST)'s winter enrichment program. During his time at CU-Boulder he served in the CU-Boulder's AIChE student chapter from 2014-2017 as events coordinator and chapter vice president. Hashim views AIChE as a critical role player in the resolution of the current global challenges, he hopes to engage more with the AIChE YPs to lead transition to a more sustainable society with an IDEAL manner.
