Helen Durand
Helen Durand, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Dept. of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at Wayne State Univ., where her research focuses on process systems engineering and process control. She received her BS, MS, and PhD in chemical engineering from the Univ. of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She received the Air Force Office of Scientific Research Young Investigator award, and her work has also received support from the National Science Foundation. Durand received a Faculty Research Excellence Award within the College of Engineering at Wayne State Univ., and she serves as the Next-Gen Manufacturing Sessions Area Chair for the 2020 AIChE Annual Meeting.
