Ian Wheeldon, PhD, is an associate professor in the Dept. of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the Univ. of California, Riverside. He received his Bachelor’s of Applied Science from Queen’s Univ., Canada, and a Master’s of Applied Science from the Royal Military College of Canada. He completed his PhD at Columbia Univ. and trained as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School and the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering. His research group focuses on developing synthetic biology tools for applications in biocatalysis. He is the recipient of several awards, including the Air Force Office of Scientific Research Young Investigator Award.
