Jack’s career has a long had an emphasis on process development and optimization. After earning his PhD in Chemical Engineering, he worked for five years in pharmaceutical process development where he was part of teams that scaled up new compounds to manufacturing scale. He then moved to NatureWorks to work on the development and commercialization of innovative lactic acid fermentation and purification technology to support the polylactic acid business. Then, eight years ago he accepted a position as a Director of Engineering R&D in Cargill where he first led the process development team, and is now leading the process modeling team.
