Process Development Senior Scientist

Janine Tom is a Process Development Senior Scientist at Amgen in Pivotal Drug Substance Technologies. She received her B.S. in Chemistry from UC Santa Barbara and then obtained her PhD in Chemistry from UC Irvine, where she developed synthetic chemical tools to probe the innate immune response for vaccine development. At Amgen, she has worked on synthetic and hybrid modality programs, including traditional small molecule, antibody-drug conjugate and siRNA modalities. Her work in the hybrid molecule space also includes involvement in the ACS Green Chemistry Roundtable Peptide and Oligonucleotide subgroups. Additionally, she is an active member in the Empowering Women in Organic Chemistry group, promoting diversity and inclusion.
