Jason McMullan is a Hydrogen Technology Integrator in the ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions Technology Portfolio in Clinton, NJ. In his role, he is focused on developing and deploying a portfolio of technologies for the energy transition in the low-carbon hydrogen value chain, including, production, transport, storage, and end use. Building the portfolio and the teams requires technology discovery, development, acquisition, and deployment.

Dr. McMullan has over 15 years of experience working in a variety of Research, Development, and Deployment roles, focused on Process and Catalyst Development with three major technology deployments from R&D scale. His strategy for process and catalyst integration is underpinned by scale-up / scale-down fundamentals and process intensification, successfully integrating multiple 3rd party technologies from industry and academia to ExxonMobil deployments. Key areas of technology focus include decarbonization and sustainability, focusing on hydrogen, advanced recycling, catalytic hydroprocessing, and advanced separations.

Dr. McMullan is an author or co-author on 81 ExxonMobil memos, 14 ExxonMobil patents, and has been recognized three times for R&D excellence, technology development, and deployment. He received a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University, with a minor in Biotechnology.

Outside of his technical duties, Dr. McMullan is passionate in talent sourcing & development, leading university recruiting teams, forming mentoring employee resource groups, and leading the title sponsorship for the AIChE / RAPID ChemE Cube student competition. He also holds an appointment as an Affiliated Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Delaware with a focus on decarbonization and sustainability.
