Jinchao Huang

Jinchao Huang, PhD, is the director of battery development at Urban Electric Power (UEP), where she leads the quality assurance and control team and furthers development of the proton intercalation system. She is an expert in membrane synthesis and alkaline battery chemistry. She is the primary inventor of the graphene-oxide polyvinyl-alcohol composite separator, and has authored more than 10 publications and filed many patents on the MnO₂-Zn technology. Huang earned her PhD in chemical engineering from City College of New York. She also received the 2019 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Green Chemistry award.
