John E. McGeehan, PhD, is a professor of structural biology and the Director of the Centre for Enzyme Innovation at the Univ. of Portsmouth, U.K. (Email: john.mcgeehan@port.ac.uk, Website: www.port.ac.uk/cei). His research focuses on structural biology and biophysics and enzyme characterization and engineering. In 2019, he won the Times Higher STEM Research Project of the Year award. McGeehan has a BS in microbiology and PhD in virology. He is a Fellow of both the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Royal Society of Biology.
