José L. Bravo is the President of Fractionation Research, Inc., a multi-client consortium that provides research and development services related to separations technologies. He is also a senior consultant to various clients in the areas of leadership, business and technology strategy, new technology development, innovation and research, and process and chemical engineering. Before joining FRI, he spent 22 years at Shell, in both the U.S. and Europe. His last role with the company was as Chief Scientist, advising the company’s leadership on innovation and technology strategy, as well as vetting internal and external technology development. Bravo is also currently a visiting professor of chemical engineering at Tianjin Univ. in China. He has a BS and MS in chemical engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana and the Univ. of Texas at Austin, respectively, and an executive leadership/MBA from the Univ. of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
