Julie Rorrer, PhD, is an Arnold O. Beckman Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Fellow of the Communication Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Email: jrorrer@mit.edu). Her research focuses on the heterogeneous catalytic upcycling of waste plastics and sustainable feedstocks. Rorrer has a BS in chemical engineering from Arizona State Univ. and a PhD in chemical engineering from the Univ. of California, Berkeley, where she was a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellow. She is also the founder of the ongoing outreach initiative ColorMePhD.
