Karl is a Technical Fellow at The Chemours Company with 25 years of experience in process research and development between DuPont and Chemours. Karl started in the Nylon Intermediates business in DuPont and worked on several new technology programs including piloting and commercialization of a new process for the hydrocyanation of butadiene to make adiponitrile. He then moved to the Corporate Process Development (CPD) organization where he contributed to scale-up and early process development of potential new products for several businesses in DuPont. While in CPD, Karl started working on process development for a new product in Fluorochemicals from which he moved to the business and followed the project through commercialization. He is currently in the Fluoroproducts business at Chemours continuing to work on development of next generation products. Karl is an inventor on several patents and has been active in AIChE and the Catalysis Club of Philadelphia during his career.
