Dr. Karl Michael Ziems is a postdoctoral researcher on the project “Hybrid Quantum Chemistry on Hybrid Quantum Computers” funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation at the Technical University of Denmark. He obtained his PhD in theoretical chemical physics from the Max Planck School of Photonics (Germany) and a MSc in theoretical and computational chemistry from the University of Oxford (UK).
The research project develops novel quantum chemical algorithms for the prediction of molecular properties on quantum computers with proof-of-principle simulations of molecules on IBM hardware.
