Dr. Karpagam Subramanian completed her Bachelor of Engineering in India. She received her PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, in 2018. Her doctoral dissertation focused on modelling environmental and social impacts of the global electronics supply chain for enhancing eco-system quality and human well-being. Karpagam is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the school of energy and environment, City University of Hong Kong, on multiple projects including GCSO funded sustainable kitchens, emerging technologies, industrial symbiosis, and neighbourhood sustainability. Her research is focused on LCA, carbon/energy modelling, footprinting social and environmental impacts of products/systems/technologies in support of sustainability related decision-making.
