Keisha McDowell is a Principal Investigator and Chemical Engineering Consultant with International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF) in the Engineering Process R&D Organization. Her expertise is in moisture characterization and control for dewatering and drying processes and dried products. Dr. McDowell has 20 years of experience in industrial engineering research toward product and process commercialization, applications development, technical service, and manufacturing consulting. She has demonstrated experience in laboratory, pilot, and commercial-scale operations involving food ingredients, enzymes, bioactive cultures, and natural/synthetic polymers. She earned a B.S. and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Maryland and the University of Florida, respectively. She is a senior member of AIChE, adjunct faculty at Morgan State University, and she has served as a guest lecturer at the University of Delaware.
