Kyle McDonald is a Research Scientist and Technology Scout in Core R&D and Corporate Ventures and Business Development located in Houston, TX. In his current role, Kyle has the responsibility of vetting and developing new technology and market areas across a variety of Dow businesses. He is also the lead Technology Scout for the Gulf Coast region of the US; working to develop relationships with start-up entrepreneurs and investors to align with Dow’s portfolios and business priorities. Prior to this, he was in the Engineered Materials Product Development Group focusing on the development of electrically conductive silicone composites for applications in electromagnetic interference shielding (EMI) and electrically conductive adhesives (ECA). Kyle joined Dow in 2017 where, in addition to his technical research and leadership, has remained passionate about inclusion and diversity through active involvement in numerous Employee Resource Groups and as a leader in the BEST Symposium Organizing Committee (Chair 2022). Additionally, Kyle helped to build the Dow SURE Program, our strong partnership with HBCUs. Kyle received his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of South Florida, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Michigan, where he focused on synthesis and applications of novel porous hybrid materials.
