Kyle R. Samson is an MD/PhD candidate at Drexel Univ. College of Medicine and he is currently in his fourth year in the Neuroscience Program. He is using a rodent model to explore the role of dopamine transmission in oxycodone craving during periods of abstinence. In medical school, he was the outreach coordinator for the Narcan Outreach Project, which provided narcan to community members and trained them in how to identify and respond to an opioid overdose.
