Lane Riggs serves as Senior Vice President of Refining Operations for Valero Energy Corporation where he oversees the operations of all Valero refineries.
Throughout his 23-year career with Valero, and the former Ultramar Diamond Shamrock Corporation and its predecessors, Mr. Riggs has held many leadership positions including SVP of Crude and Feedstock Supply and Trading, Engineering, Planning and Economics, Product Supply and Trading.
Mr. Riggs earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, and his Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Finance and Economics from West Texas A&M University.
Mr. Riggs is involved in the community. He was a Trustee for the Southwest School of Art and Craft from 2004-2009. During his term on the board, he has served as Treasurer from 2005- 2006, and along with his wife, both served as the 2005 Fall Gala Chairs. He served as Treasurer of the Monte Vista Historical Association in 2007. Mr. Riggs was a member of the Leadership San Antonio Class 33 in 2007 and 2008. Mr. Riggs serves on the Board of the San Antonio Zoo.
Mr. Riggs personal interests include golf, hunting, fishing, gardening, wine, genealogy, American and Texas art, and History. Mr. Riggs and his wife, Tashya have two children, Sam and William.
