Dr. Lee Blaney is Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical, Biochemical, and Environmental Engineering and Associate Director of Sustainability Engineering at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He has established a vibrant research program focused on (1) development of innovative technologies for resource recovery from agricultural and municipal waste and (2) the occurrence, fate, transport, and toxicity of contaminants of emerging concern in natural and engineered systems. He is the recipient of the Maryland Outstanding Young Engineer Award and the NSF Career Award.
