Graduated as a chemical engineer in 1989, Louis Fradette has spent ten years of his career in Industry; initially as a junior process engineer in the refining business and, after completing a PhD, at the management level of R&D and exploitation of high-tech companies.
Professor of chemical engineering at Polytechnique Montreal since 2007, he has maintained numerous consulting activities on an international basis. His expertise applies to single-phase as well as multiphase viscous mixing, emulsification principles and processes, and process and reactor design. His industrial experience is particularly rich since it covers oil refining, bitumen sands treatment, ore processing, and polymer composites preparation and extrusion.
He is also consulting for CO2 Solutions Inc., a high-tech company dedicated to CO2 capture from flue gases and its conversion into value-added products.
