Marc S. Giroux joined Corning Incorporated in 1978 as a Process Engineer in Corning, N.Y. working on the manufacturing process to support the early days of optical fiber commercialization. For the next 20 years, he held various positions of manufacturing and engineering leadership in that business in the United States and Europe. A highlight for that business was winning the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 1995.
In 1998, he was named Manufacturing Manager for the Photonics Technologies Division and helped grow that operation to nearly a billion dollars in revenue by 2000.
In 2003, he joined the Display Technologies Division and led the development and engineering efforts of that business during the rapid growth phase of the LCD TV market.
He was elected to his current position in 2006 and is responsible for the engineering function worldwide for Corning Incorporated.
Giroux has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
